IIFYM Recipe- Protein Rice Crispy Treats

Are you looking for a new, tasty way to get your protein in? These delicious protein rice crispy treats are the perfect post-workout protein snack for you to grab and go. Embrace one of your favorite childhood recipes that everyone loves and is extremely easy to make.
Ingredients
- 6 cups rice crispy cereal (you can use the regular or the chocolate flavor)
- 6 cups mini marshmallows
- 7 TBSP Earth Balance butter spread
- 4 oz unsweetened applesauce
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 150 grams of unflavored whey isolate protein powder (I used Isopure)
Directions
- Spray a 9×13 glass baking dish with cooking spray
- In a large, non stick pot, melt the butter and marshmallows on low heat, stirring constantly
- When butter and marshmallows are melted, remove pot from the heat and stir in vanilla and applesauce
- Slowly pour in the protein powder and mix together while the marshmallows are still warm
- Stir in the rice crispy cereal and then spread into your glass baking dish
- Allow bars to cool, cut, and indulge!
