IIFYM Recipe- Shrimp and Sausage Skillet

Total Time: 20 minutes


  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 6 oz of pre-cooked sausage (I use Hillshire Farm Turkey Smoked Sausage)
  • 2 peppers, chopped
  • 1 yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 zucchini, chopped
  • 1/4 cup chicken stock
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • salt and pepper and red pepper flakes (if desired)
  • Old Bay seasoning ( 2 tsp or more if desired)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (divided)


  1.  Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  2. Season shrimp with Old Bay
  3. Cook Shrimp about 3-4 minutes until opaque- set aside
  4. Add remaining 1/2 tbsp olive oil to skillet
  5. Toss in onions and peppers for about 2 minutes
  6. Add sausage and zucchini to the skillet and cook for another 2 minutes
  7. Put cooked shrimp back into skillet and cook everything for another minute or so
  8. Pour chicken stock in and mix through
  9. Add salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes as desired
  10. Enjoy!
