IIFYM Recipe- Beef and Broccoli

Super simple to make, filling, and delicious! Great for someone with not a lot of time!

Ingredients

  • 1/2cup soy sauce low sodium
  • 2tbsp cornstarch
  • 3cloves garlic minced
  • 3tbsp honey
  • 1tsp fresh ginger minced
  • 1/4tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/2cup beef broth or chicken broth, low sodium or no sodium
  • 1tbsp olive oil
  • 18 0z. half sirloin, sliced thin against the grain
  • 6 cups broccoli cut into small florets

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, cornstarch, garlic, honey, ginger, red pepper flakes, and beef broth. Set aside until ready to use.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet and cook the steak until it starts to brown, about 4 to 5 minutes. Add sauce and stir in with the steak, it should start to thicken immediately. Add broccoli and cook for an additional 2 minutes until broccoli is tender and sauce is thickened.
  3. Serve over rice or noodles
