Flexible Dieting Success Story

Q: Why did you decide to join No Bull Nutrition?

I’m a long time (8 years) Crossfitter and life-long athlete, yet I’ve always had bodyfat problems.  It always seemed like I could lose a little, and then I’d end up gaining it right back – never obese, but always a little pudgy’er than I wanted to be.  I knew Stephanie from her days as the best coach at Outlaw Crossfit, and kept up with her after I parted ways from Outlaw.  I saw her transformation through the IIFYM methodology, and when she decided to take her program public in an effort to help others do what she did, I decided to give it a try.

Q: Was there anything about the program that surprised you?

Actually how easy it is to make it work

Q: How have you managed to stay on track while balancing your work and social life?

For the most part I have, although I occasionally have to have a “black-out” day. But Stephanie is awesome at using just the right amount of encouragement to get me right back on track the next day!

Q: How has your performance in the gym (or outside of the gym) been affected by flexible dieting, if at all?

I was really worried about losing muscle (really strength) while “dieting.” Always before I’d see a 10-15% reduction in strength as I leaned out. However, Stephanie has been great at gradually reducing macros and thus reducing my bodyfat such that I not only have not lost strength, I’ve gotten stronger, and a lot faster (more cardio capability, capacity, and endurance) as I’ve gone through the program.

Q: What has been the biggest change you have made in your lifestyle and/or relationship with food?

Food has / is becoming a methodology to fuel my body and lifestyle, rather than a love / hate relationship as my pant size goes down and up.

Q: What advice do you have for other people considering joining No Bull Nutrition?

Do it today. Don’t wait!!

Q. What has been the greatest reward for you, and the greatest struggle since you started with No Bull Nutrition? How have you managed to overcome?

Greatest reward – looking better naked!  Biggest struggle is forcing myself to plan ahead.  If I sit down for 10 minutes the night before, or at breakfast, and figure out what I’m going to eat all day, I have a plan.  When I have a plan, I’m successful.  If I fail to plan, I have no guidebook, and I fail.  Simple.  Just have to put in the time, which when you think about it, is a pretty cheap investment in being healthy!
